Sensata completes acquisition of SMaL camera business unit from Cypress

Sensata Technologies (www.sensata.com), formerly the Sensors & Controls business of Texas Instruments (www.ti.com) has completed the acquisition of SMaL Camera Technologies from Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (www.cypress.com).

Sensata Technologies, formerly the Sensors & Controls business of Texas Instruments has completed the acquisition of SMaL Camera Technologies from Cypress Semiconductor. The SMaL Camera business unit provides cameras and camera subsystems to tier one companies for advanced driver assistance systems. Cypress acquired SMaL in 2005.

Sensata chief executive officer Tom Wroe said the acquisition aligns well with Sensata's focus on automotive safety and driver assistance systems.
