Traffic.com (www.traffic.com) has launched TrafficOne Mobile; an extension of the firm’s TrafficOne online services.

Traffic.com has launched TrafficOne Mobile; an extension of the firm’s TrafficOne online services. Targeting wireless carriers, mobile content providers and application developers, the service includes a downloadable J2ME or BREW application, short messaging services (SMS) and multimedia messaging service (MMS) alerts, a wireless application protocol (WAP) site accessible from any wireless browser, and an interactive voice recognition hotline that provides cell phone users with hands-free access to traffic information.

Traffic.com is powered by the NAVTEQ Traffic infrastructure, which encompasses probe, proprietary sensors, government sensors, and event and incident data gathered through local operations centers across the country.
