WORLDSPACE selects Fraunhofer IIS to develop satellite receiver reference design

WORLDSPACE Satellite Radio (www.worldspace.com) has chosen Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS (www.iis.fraunhofer.de) to develop a reference design for satellite radio receivers for the European market.

WORLDSPACE Satellite Radio has chosen Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS to develop a reference design for satellite radio receivers for the European market.

The WORLDSPACE European receiver will be the first satellite-terrestrial hybrid receiver to comply with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute satellite digital radio (SDR) standard, which combines satellites and terrestrial repeater networks to help maintain excellent service quality in difficult reception environments.
