Extending the LTS range of +5V current transducers, the LTSP model measures positive and negative AC, DC, and pulse currents on printed circuit boards and provides a current output instead of the voltage output provided by the other units in the family. This allows the transducer to detect currents up to at least 14 times the nominal current. Like its predecessors, the LTSP employs the same ASIC as the LTS and LTSR models. The ASIC enables the performance levels similar to Hall-effect closed-loop current transducers in a smaller package measuring 22.2 mm x 10 mm x 24 mm. Other features of the transducer include access to the internal 2.5V reference on a separate pin for use with MCUs and/or ADCs, support for nominal currents of 8A, 12A, and 25A with galvanic isolation between the primary and output circuits, and the ability to choose the output resistor.
