Built to provide housing for mission- critical and other high-end systems, this new 23" wide, 8U high carrier class enclosure can support a center-mounted processor board and one bridge board. The enclosure packs a 20-slot CompactPCI backplane, six 250W hot-swappable power supplies for providing up to 1,250W of redundant power, and four individually hot-swappable fans mounted below the card cage and four individually hot-swappable blowers mounted above the cage. Dual ac inputs increase redundancy in case of power failure. The unit also has a 6U cPCI board with transition module for monitoring temperature, fan rotation, dc voltage levels, CPU activity and blower speed. The transition module acts as the interface to all the I/O, including fans, blowers, temperature sensors, relays, serial port and Ethernet port. Internet-based firmware allows remote monitoring of the system's vital parameters. The enclosure is designed to meet all emissions, safety and NEBS Level 3 requirements. A 23" wide enclosure with six 200W supplies lists for $8,895. ONE STOP SYSTEMS, Escondido, CA. (760) 745-9883.
