The LAN AMC board from One Stop Systems is a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) AdvancedMC (AMC) board with a native PCI Express (PCIe) design. It provides four GbE copper ports for use in a wide variety of next-generation wireless and storage networking equipment. Each network interface on the LAN AMC can auto-sense speed, simplex, duplex, and flow control and detect polarity (without the need for crossover cables) and cable lengths. The board's front panel supports four IEEE 802.3ab-compliant connections over 1000BaseT CAT-5e copper wire through industry-standard RJ-45 connectors. Based on switch fabric, AMC cards are hot-swappable and fully managed for use in carrier and enterprise-class applications.

This single-width, full-height module is well-suited for adding multiple 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports to networking equipment that uses the new AdvancedMC form factor. Also, OEMs can use the LAN AMC board in high-performance embedded systems in accordance with MicroTCA specifications. Designed to deliver full wire-speed performance on all four Gigabit ports simultaneously, the LAN AMC board is based on two Marvell Yukon 88E8062 Gigabit Ethernet controllers. The 88E8062 is based on Marvell's Concurrent Data Streaming architecture, which uses a highly innovative scheme to reduce the impact of system and peripheral latencies on PCIe throughput to enable superior data streaming and application performance.

The Quad-port LAN AMC lists for $1011 and is available immediately. For more information, go to www.onestopsystems.com.
