Addressing the needs of slim electronic devices such as PDAs and mobile phones, the RoHS-compliant WH1 series board-to-board connectors feature 0.4-mm contact spacings and mated stacking heights of 1 mm. They are available in configurations from 24 to 40 positions and employ a double-row structure to minimize board space. The connector exploits a two-point contact structure to resist twisting stress, and a simple locking structure gives an audible click when mated. With a 0.4A current rating and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, the contacts rely on a nickel barrier to prevent solder migration. Priced is $0.46 each/100.
