A new connectivity product has been developed to support InfiniBand architecture. The Blu Streak high performance cable and assembly comes in standard and custom configurations. Its products support 1X, 4X and 12X bandwidths in 24-gauge, 26-gauge and 28-gauge. Assemblies use either HSSDC2 or Fujitsu board connectors, depending on link width. All assemblies meet the InfiniBand Trade Association standards for impedance, skew, insertion loss, eye opening and jitter, as well as the proposed InfiniBand link requirements. A key feature of the company?s assemblies is the use of direct attach and parallel gap methods for conductor termination. These machine-based techniques are said to produce higher quality, more repeatable bonds than the usual hand solder operations. C&M CORPORATION USA, Wauregan, CT. (877) 830-6057.
