CardBus Connector Has Metal Shielding

May 1, 1999

With a metal shielded header that meets JEIDA and PCMCIA Version 4 CardBus specifications, the 68-position FCN-560H connector supports high-performance applications on 32-bit CardBus cards in small form-factor computing devices such as notebook PCs, digital cameras, portable medical and test equipment, and handheld devices. The connector is for 3.3V Type I and II PC cards and comes in right-angle, surface-mount configurations, along with an optional lighweight card ejection mechanism. It can be mounted on the top or bottom of circuit boards and is available in a 2-mm raised version that allows other components to be mounted underneath the board. Current rating is 0.5A dc, 250 vac, and dielectric withstand is 500 vac for 1 minute.
