Circular Connectors Reduce Form Factor, Maximize Pin Count

Oct. 8, 2008
The company’s next generation circular connectors reduce size by nearly 30% and employ Hypertac hyperboloid contacts in a smaller 0.3-mm pin size, creating a significantly smaller form factor while maintaining five signal contacts rated at 1A

The company’s next generation circular connectors reduce size by nearly 30% and employ Hypertac hyperboloid contacts in a smaller 0.3-mm pin size, creating a significantly smaller form factor while maintaining five signal contacts rated at 1A each with a dielectric withstanding voltage rating of 750V. Offered as an extension of the mini D series, the connectors retain the familiar push-button latch with alignment and polarization via their housing design. The plugs are available with crimp termination accommodating up to 24 AWG wire. The receptacles will be available with 15.24-mm pigtails as standard with optional custom lengths and board terminations available. HYPERTRONICS CORP., Hudson, MA. (888) 497-37822.
