cPCI Enclosure Provides Eight 6U Slots In 4U Space

Targeting networking, datacomm, and telecomm applications that require up to seven peripheral boards, this 4U-high, CompactPCI enclosure supports up to eight 6U horizontally-mounted boards in 4U of rack space. In addition to its eight-slot backplane, standard or H.110 version, the enclosure provides dual 300W hot-swap power supplies and two 5.25" drive bays. With rear I/O on all slots, the backplane has a left-hand system slot with power lugs on the rear. The dual power supply voltage outputs are 5V at 25A, 12V at 16A, -5V at 0.5A, -12V at 0.5, A, 3.3V at 18A, and 5V at 1.5A and they include overvoltage, overload and short circuit protection. Front-to-back cooling is provided by two fans mounted on one end of the card cage, blowing cooling air across the boards and exiting out the rear of the enclosure and three other fans provide side-to-side ventilation.
