cPCI Slot Controller Flaunts 1.2GHz Pentium III

Introduced as a low-power CompactPCI system slot controller, the PP 100/01x uses a 1.2 GHz Pentium III processor and supports PICMG 2.16. The board can operate as a slot controller or in powered stand-alone, satellite mode. The processor supports a 133 MHz bus and 512 KB of secondary cache. Heat sinks are used instead of fans for cooling the CPU, while maintaining a single slot configuration. The board comes with 1 GB of 133 MHz ECC SDRAM, which can be upgraded to as much as 2 GB using standard off-the-shelf DRAM modules. EIDE is supported, along with an optional on-board EIDE 2.5" disk drive or one or two flash modules. Other features include an Ultra-2 Wide SCSI interface, two Gigabit Ethernet channels, a graphics interface, real-time clock, two RS-232 and two USB ports, watchdog timer, system fan monitor, and a speaker interface.
