cPCI System Master Expands Embedded Market's Horizons

Addressing the expanding performance and memory requirements of the embedded OEM market, the CP604 CompactPCI peripheral and system master uses the Mobile Pentium III CPU operating from 400 to 700 MHz and 256 KB of advanced-transfer cache. The board can be configured with either a 440BX or 440GX chipset for soldered-in SDRAM with ECC up to 512 MB or 1 GB, respectively.
A memory expansion socket offers space for an additional 1 GB of memory. Other features include dual Fast Ethernet interfaces, an Asiliant 69030 AGP controller, a PMC expansion slot, 4 MB of flash memory, support for up to 288 MB of DiskOnChip, four ESD/EMI protected/compliant serial channels, and USB and rear I/O support. The board is available as either a peripheral or system master with optional support for extended temperature ranges. Price starts at $2,500.
