Partnering with Unique Memec, the company's Automotive Development Kit is billed as a complete design tool for users of its SX-A family of antifuse-based FPGAs. Distributed by Unique Memec, the kit includes an FPGA-based development board and a controller area network (CAN) IP core. It also provides four CAN drivers and an A54SX72A FPGA in a 208-pin PQFP, housed in a P160 adapter card form-factor. The FPGA can be socketed or directly mounted on the board while maintaining the same footprint. In addition to the CAN core, the kit employs Memec Design’s 6809 processor IP core that operates the CAN demo from external flash memory and UART IP core for communication with the host. Price is $250. ACTEL CORP., Mountain View, CA. (888) 992-2835. UNIQUE MEMEC, San Diego, CA. (800) 711-8841.
