The ChipConnect Software Development Kits (SDKs) and Reference Designs are targeted at Web-controlled embedded systems using the EMIT architecture. The SDK for the firm's 8- and 16-bit MCUs enables an embedded system’s flash memory to be reprogrammed over the Internet. The kit's key software component is the EMIT evaluation tool from emWare, a provider of device networking software for products using 8- and 16-bit µCs. The software runs on the small MCUs without requiring an RTOS or a TCP/IP stack at the device. The M16C ChipConnect SDK includes an M16C reference board with on-chip flash.
