An application note section explains LED technology and important LED selection criteria for design engineers. The format of the catalog enables engineers to assemble part numbers from a vast selection of options to optimize products for their applications. Choices include LED chip materials, colors, intensities and viewing angles. Other options include voltages, design current, circuit designs, lenses, and terminal styles. For replacing incandescent bulbs, a detailed LED lamp cross-reference list is included with suggested DDP part numbers. New products detailed include wide-angle, high-intensity red, orange, amber, green, and blue LEDs suitable for sunlight applications.
