Meeting MIL-STD-810F, the field-programmable PRV-1059 VLAN-enabled, 5-port PC/104 Ethernet switch specifies a power consumption of 1.5W and an extended temperature range up to +85°C. Supporting auto-MDI-MDIX network installation, the board supports plug-and-play operation, enabling up to five embedded devices to be networked together using 10 Base-T or 100 Base-TX LAN connections. The board is also IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u compliant, and its five transceiver ports can each serve as an uplink. The module can either be used as a standalone network switch with no processor board required or in combination with systems that support a PC/104 (ISA) bus. Other features include independent MACs, frame buffer memory, an address look-up engine, and support for auto-crossover, auto-polarity, auto-negotiation, and bridge-loop prevention. Measuring 90 mm x 96 mm, all versions include mounting holes and support for local or remote monitoring. Prices are $199 for base models and $249 for boards with VLAN support. Non-RoHS and RoHS-compliant versions are available. PARVUS CORP., Salt Lake City, UT. (801) 483-1533.
