A half-slot, PCI 2.31-compliant board, the MVS-8501 frame grabber targets next-generation, high-speed analog cameras that use cutting-edge, progressive-scan CCD technology. Backward compatible with standard-speed interlaced and progressive scan cameras, the new board exploits independent DMA to eliminate delays by allowing captured images to be processed at the same time other images are being captured. Features include an 8 MB FIFO and a 32-bit/33-MHz bus architecture. Users can choose between the company's CVL software developer's kit to program custom vision applications and VisionPro, a suite of COM/Active-X based vision software tools.
