Designed for security and monitoring applications, the p3i SEC frame grabber is available as a PCI card or as a PMC mezzanine card. The board records data from analog color cameras via 16 separate analog inputs, each of which contains a separate a/d converter. Features include an on-board scaling function (1:1 to 1:8), PCI 2.2 support, and optional JPEG compression hardware. Up to three images can be processed in parallel via a three-channel DMA. Based on FPGAs, the frame grabber employs a LINUX driver that is available in source code. Pricing for the p3I SEC with four inputs is $1,200.
