Outfitting a wide range of portable products, the freestanding BC-501 battery contact series sports a low profile and ensures reliable, high spring force battery retention via its exclusive wire-form design. Users can randomly position the contacts to accommodate optimal board layout and design efficiency. A next-generation manufacturing technology eliminates the need for standard plastic housings to further reduce overall size and weight. RoHS-compliant, the battery terminations specify a current rating of 2A and are made of phosphor bronze #510 alloy with a gold finish over a nickel under plate. They measure 0.039" X 0.25" and come on 8-mm wide, 4-mm pitch conductive polycarbonate tape that meets ANSI/EIA-481 standards. Pricing starts at $60 per 1,000 pieces. COMPONENTS CORP., Denville, NJ.
