Teaming with its European branch, the company's VITA 31.1-compliant Gigabit Ethernet backplanes incorporate switched fabrics into legacy VME64x backplanes with backwards compatibility. They feature two fabric slots for dual redundant routing of the switch fabric across the P0 connectors. The boards also employ PICMG 2.16 P3 connector pinouts for use on VME64x boards. Additional features include an automatic active daisy chain, passive in-board termination and M3/M4 power bolts. The backplane also meets the VITA 1.7 increased-current specification. Pricing for the 8-slot backplane is under $950 each, depending on volume and configuration requirements. ELMA BUSTRONIC CORP., Fremont, CA. (510) 490-7388.
