Pre-formed pins can be replaced with wire pins to reduce costs with the Model 3718 head. The self-contained, high-speed head automatically cleans, straightens, swages and forms the wire pins for insertion into circuit boards or connectors in one operation at rates to 8000 pins per hour. The head is designed to be mounted on a stand-alone or in-line machine with a 12" x 12", 18" x 18", or 24" x 24" work area.Additional features of the wire pin technology include rotary positioning, flute swaging, variable pin height, pin sizes from 0.025" to 0.059", and lengths from 0.375" to 1.8" with round or square pins.
