Rising just 8 mm above the circuit board, the 12.5-mm square DR359 series surface-mount inductor/transformer exploits a novel dual-coil configuration enabling parallel and series functionality. As a result, the component is deployable as either an inductor or transformer. Parallel windings support an inductance range from 0.419 mH to 1.005 H (+20%) with DCR specs ranging from 1.95 mΩ to 1.66Ω. Series inductance values span 1.676 mH to 4.02H (+25%) with DCRs from 7.8 mΩ to 6.64Ω. Other features include an operating temperature range from –40°C to +125°C and adherence to UL94V-0 requirements. For unique circuit requirements, custom components are an option.
