Spanning current ratings of from 500 mA to 5A at 125V, the OMT 125 series of surface-mount fuses features time-lag operation in the same form-and-fit package as the company's fast-acting OMF 125 series. Also lead-free, including the fusing element, the OMT series can handle fault currents of up to 100A at 125 Vac/Vdc, providing personnel and equipment with an added margin of safety from fire and damage—existing fuses offer ratings of only up to 35A to 50A. The new series also has an extremely low voltage drop. For example, the 1A fuse has a drop of 88 mV and a power dissipation of 88 mW, making the device ideal for use on densely populated boards. The new fuses are built according to UL 248-14, with cUL pending, and can be soldered directly onto pc boards or used with an SMT fuse holder. Pricing starts at $0.28 each/500.
