The Star Board LED Pixel Holder promises fast and easy integration of high-intensity LED packages into fixtures by addressing electrical, thermal, and mechanical requirements in a single package. Consisting of a cast aluminum heat sink, plastic locking ring, contact carrier, and tin-plated copper alloy contacts, the holder is available with a two-wire connection for single-color LEDs and four-wire connections for RGB LEDs. The heat sink fits standard GU10/MR16 light fixtures and the holder accepts LED board thicknesses from 1-mm to 2.5-mm thick. The holder supports LEDs with power ratings up to 3W without forced air cooling. Other features include operating currents up to 2.5A, operating voltages to 50 Vdc, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 120°C. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
