A low, 11-mm profile, optional SMT leads, and availability in either AB or BA sequencing models are all features of the CI-11 incremental encoder. The device is also offered without the shaft and mounting bushing in a 6-mm-high, slim-profile version with an optional tactile switch- the latter version is suited for applications such as LCD monitors where space between the pc board and housing is critical. The 2-bit encoder is suited for applications requiring single or multifunction rotary control interfaced with a digital electronic circuit. It comes with optional tact switch with 0.5-mm or 1.5-mm axial travel. Standard versions have 9 or 15 pulses per 360° rotation.
