The ZXE-486MEM memory extension module is reported to boost the memory capacity of existing embedded processor boards by 300% or more without modifying the board. The stackable module interfaces with EPROM sockets on the system board, increasing EPROM capacity from 8 MB to 22 MB. The concept may also be applied to other boards with IC memory sockets as well.
