Offering a connectivity alternative for bus-based I/O components, the SeaI/O-OEM family of bus-independent I/O boards expand OEM computing platforms including ITX, EBX, EPIC, and ATX designs. For flexibility, options allow connection to a host computer via wireless Ethernet (802.11b/g), wired Ethernet, RS-485, USB, or RS-232. The family provides 15 I/O configurations with reed and Form C relays, optically isolated inputs, TTL interfaces, ADC and DAC functionality, and RS-232/-422/-485 connectivity. Multiple units of any I/O type can be daisy chained via pass-through connectors. In terms of software integration, application programs or third-party software can employ the company’s SeaMAX library or standard Modbus protocols. Other features include field-removable terminal blocks, operation from 9 to 30 Vdc via the terminal block or a dc jack, and each board includes metal standoffs for mounting in any enclosure or cabinet. Prices start at $239 each. SEALEVEL SYSTEMS INC., Liberty, SC. (864) 843-4343.
