Rackmount/Benchtop Chassis Performs For PXI-Bus Systems
The S32 PXI chassis has a low-profile 4U design and supports up to 18 PXI boards. Allowing up to a four-slot controller, it functions as a rackmount/benchtop chassis for PXI-bus systems requiring a large number of instruments in a single chassis.

A 600-W universal-input supply offers power-factor correction and 33% more power than any other PXI package. It is equipped with 130-cfm, high-power fans and automatic temperature speed control for quiet operation. According to the company, this device is suited for demanding OEM applications, including test and acquisition, telecommunications, industrial auto-mation, medical instrumentation, and military systems.

Cross-compatibility with Compact-PCI enables easy integration of other noninstrumentation boards as well. The complete system includes the chassis, backplane, bridging, power, cooling, and monitoring.

Single-unit pricing starts at $3875 for the complete system.

Reusable Heavy-Duty Sealing Sleeve Offers Protection From The Elements
The RayOLOn sealing sleeve is easily installed without heating tools. As a reusable, heavy-duty sleeve, it offers a solution for sealing connectors and splices against moisture and corrosion. According to the company, this sleeve is suited for exposed marine above-deck and offshore installations as well as any location where the use of heat sources or an open flame is restricted.

The sleeve is comprised of a length of flexible EDPM tubing folded back upon itself. It is lubricated and welded to form a continuous tubular belt that travels along a cylindrical substrate unaffected by variable geometries. Once moved into position, a mated connector or splice is sealed with either mastic or gel tape at the sleeve ends. This provides a high-integrity seal against environmental attack, preventing damage and corrosion.

A kit supplies all of the components required. RayOLOn sleeves are offered in a variety of lengths and sealing options. Contact the company for pricing and availability information.
