The Navigator-PC/104 motion controller card keeps dc brushed and brushless motors and steppers in line with from one to four axes of control. Employing surface-mount and CMOS technologies, the card provides trajectory generation, servo-loop closure, quadrature signal input, motor output signal generation, and trace features; it also supports on-the-fly modifications. Servo-loop rate is 100 µs/axis with a 5-Mcount/s quadrature encoder input rate. The servo loop compensator provides PID, feed forward, programmable offsets, and time intervals. Motion profiles include S-curve, trapezoidal, velocity contouring, electronic gearing, and user-specific profiles. The board also provides 16 general-purpose digital I/Os and eight analog inputs. Price starts at $638 each in OEM quantities. PERFORMANCE MOTION DEVICES INC., Lincoln, MA. (781) 674-9860.
