The ATS9462 four-lane PCI Express (PCIe) waveform digitizer delivers throughput rates up to 720 MB/s, enabling many applications that were previously not possible due to legacy PCI-bus bottlenecks attributed to a 100-MB/s speed limit. The board offers two simultaneous analog inputs that can each be sampled at rates up to 180 Msamples/s, yielding a SNR in excess of 73 dB. Data from either one or both inputs can be streamed to PC memory without the need for an acquisition memory buffer. Additionally, the ATS9462 is compatible with any x4, x8, or x16 PCIe slot.
