Employing a Pentium M Processor with 1 MB of L2 cache, an 855PM chipset with 400 MHz front side bus, and up to 1 GB of DDR SDRAM, the ECM-5716 single-board computer sports a compact 5.25" footprint. The board also features an 855GM AGP chipset that supports 24- to 48-bit LVDS flat panel displays. For connecting external devices, it provides a row of edge connectors, to reduce the need for excess cabling. Other features include two serial and four USB 2.0 ports, one parallel port, IrDA interface, dual 10/1000 Base-TX Ethernet, DVI support, AC’97 Audio 5.1 channel playback, and support for Type I/II flash disks.
