Pin-In-Paste Headers Take The Heat In SMT Assembly Lines

Dec. 1, 2000

Designed to handle the high heat of surface-mount production and assembly lines, the Through Hole Header (THT) pc board-mount pin-in-paste headers are designed with a special plastic that can withstand up to 260°C for 10 seconds. Special integrated ribs are located on the bottom of the headers to prevent solder balling and potential arching.
The headers are available with a 5.08 mm or 3.81 mm pin spacing with up to 12 positions in both horizontal and vertical configurations. Flanged versions are also available that enable the mating plug to be secured to the header for high vibration applications. The headers are compatible with all versions of the company's plugs and are available in standard, bulk, reel and tube packages.
