The Splatch planar antenna for the 902 to 928 MHz band uses a proprietary grounded-line technique to reportedly extract outstanding performance from a tiny SMT element. The antenna is designed for direct pc board mounting to eliminate the mechanical and cosmetic drawbacks associated with traditional external antennas. Its stable, grounded-line design provides excellent pattern and polarization characteristics and minimizes proximity detuning to make it well-suited for compact uses such as remote controls, pagers and alert devices. Dimensions are 1.1" long x 0.5" wide x 0.062" high with 50 ohm impedance and VSWR of less than 1.9:1.
