The company's power over Ethernet (PoE) DIMM switches are capable of deploying from eight to 48 ports in IP telephone systems, switches, and blades. Comparable to similar products, they fit vertically on the board in a 1U rack, reportedly reducing board area by over 50%. Additionally, the DIMMs promise to dissipate 30% less heat. Each port features internal current monitoring, a limited-current source, and an overload- and disconnect-detection sensor in compliance with IEEE802.3af. Other features include support for local graphical user interface (GUI) diagnostic services and RS-232 or I2C interfaces. PHIHONG, Fremont, CA. (510) 445-0100.
