Enabling users to design multiple sensing applications, the PSoC FirstTouch starter kit comes in a USB thumb-drive package and promises to be a quick, easy, and affordable way for users to evaluate the integration, flexibility, and mixed-signal programmability of PSoC mixed-signal arrays. Without writing or debugging C or Assembly code, the kit pairs with the PSoC Express visual embedded system design tool, providing users with CapSense touch, temperature, light, and proximity sensing right out of the box. It includes two small boards, a main system board, and a detachable multi-function expansion card that includes inputs and outputs. Other features include four embedded designs, a 16-pin connection interface to plug the multifunction expansion card into target boards, and I2C/ISSP support. Price for the kit is $29.95.
