Adding to the Delphi series board-mount dc/dc converters, the Q48SX converter provides up to 40A of output current at 2V and below, or 125W in an industry standard quarter-brick footprint and pinout. The unit operates from an input voltage range from 36V to 75V and is available in output voltages of 1.2V to 5V. Like other Q48SX converters, it exhibits a typical ripple and noise figure of 16 mVp-p with a 1.2V output at full load and 20 mVp-p with 1.5V and 1.8V outputs at full load when tested with a 1 µF ceramic output capacitor. When tested with no external output capacitors, typical response is less than 60 mVp-p/30 µS for 100% of the step load and 35 mVp-p/30 µS for 25% of the step load at 1.5V and 1.8V outputs. Additionally, the module offers monotonic startup into normal or pre-biased loads and is available in both surface-mount or through-hole packages. Price is $44 each/1,000.
