Rack-Mount Enclosure Has CompactPCI Backplane

Sept. 1, 1999

A 14-slot, 6U CompactPCI backplane in the ZT 5411 NEBS-compliant enclosure is designed to support a system CPU and up to 13 CompactPCI peripherals. Equipped with an integrated cooling system, the rack-mount enclosure also supports IEEE 1101.11 rear-I/O transition cards, H.110 telephony buses and a variety of media devices. The 15U platform’s backplane is compliant with the PICMG 2.1 Hot Swap specification and conforms to the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group specified method PICMG 2.7 for implementing CPU boards with dual CompactPCI buses. The platform includes three side-by-side, hot-swap fan trays, a 6U backplane, a media bay, a system alarm panel, and support for up to four N+1 redundant power supplies.
