The MicroCross DVI Link riser card provides a low-cost means of enabling Intel motherboards equipped with an on-board digital video output (DVO) to support digital displays that are compliant with Digital Video Interface (DVI) specs. Supported Intel boards include the D815EEA, D815BN, D815EFV and D815EEA2. The riser card uses Silicon Image's Sil 164 DVI transmitter chip to deliver an all-digital video signal with resolutions from VGA to UXGA.
The card also supports a 5-Gb/s single-link video bandwidth as specified by the Digital Display Working Group for DVI compliance. Other features of the riser card include compatibility with Intel's DVO 12-bit graphic interface, flexible input clocking, an I2C slave programming interface, a 1V to 1.8V interface, receiver detection, long distance cable support, and a de-skewing option. Price is $34 each/2,500.
