Measuring 8" x 5.57", the EBC-8550 single-board computer (SBC) targets a variety of mobile applications. The board employs a socket 479 Pentium M processor with a 400 MHz system bus and an 855GM chipset. Networking capabilities are optional via an 82540EM 1000/100/10 Ethernet controller and an 82562E2/EX 100/10 Mb/s interface. Other features include a card bus interface, support for I/II/III PCMCIA memory, I/O and ATA cards, and a graphic controller that supports DVI and dual LVDS channels. For industrial applications, the board includes a watchdog timer that supports software-programmable timeout interval and a SSD interface via a 50-pin compact flash socket.
