Six-Position Connector Meets NAMA Standard

Feb. 1, 2001

The six-position AMP-DUAC connector meets the National Automatic Merchandising Association's (NAMA's) standard for International Multi-Drop Bus Interface. The connector is a post and receptacle, wire-to-board or wire-to-wire system on 4.2-mm centerlines. The connector's dual action interface design provides greater interface reliability, reduces stubbing potential, and requires lower mating force. And an anti-overstress contact design prevents over-stressing during mating. Connector housings accept contact insertion from two directions providing assembly versatility. A positive latching feature on receptacle housings prevents disconnection. A six-position clam shell style strain relief is available for wire-to-wire applications, as well. The six-position receptacle housing is priced at $141.03 per thousand for orders of 100,000; the six-position plug housing is priced at $74.38 per thousand; and the six-position strain relief is priced at $268.68 per thousand, both in quantities of 100,000.
