Tantalum Modules Raise Capacitance And Voltage, Trim PCB Space

Oct. 12, 2010
The TWM Series wet electrolytic tantalum modules provide high capacitance values up to 6,600 µf at 25V and up to 450 µf at 125V while saving board space.

The TWM Series wet electrolytic tantalum modules provide high capacitance values up to 6,600 µf at 25V and up to 450 µf at 125V while saving board space. Employing a patented high capacitance cathode system that enables high CV designs beyond the values specified in the Mil-PRF-39006 drawing, the module meets the 93026 specification and withstands the shock and vibration levels outlined in M39006. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C. Pricing typically starts at $200 each in volume for standard capacitance and voltage packages. AVX CORP., Biddeford, ME. (207) 286-2174.
