Test Point Sockets Ease PCB Mounting

Sept. 1, 2000

The company's new line of right-angle, 2-mm test point sockets are designed for mounting on the edge of a printed circuit board. These sockets are color coded, red or black, for identification of power and ground. They accept 2-mm diameter test probes from 5- to 14-mm in length. An insulator shrouds the test point as it feeds through the equipment chassis. The receptacle uses a low-force beryllium copper spring contact. A 2-mm, right-angle socket with gold-plated contacts costs $1.583 each/1,000.
