Providing design support for the DaVinci DM643x digital media processors, the DM6437 DVDP digital-video development platform bundles a full TMS320DM6437 evaluation module with a complete suite of DaVinci development tools and software. The DM643x processors are DSP-only devices supporting DaVinci technology and are capable of performing H.264 video encoding at D1 resolution or running complete video, audio, and networking for a target application. The DM6437 DVDP includes a DM6437 evaluation module with onboard emulator, operating system kernels including the company’s real-time DSP/BIOS kernel and Linux from VirtualLogix, digital-video software development kit, VirtualLogix VLX for digital multimedia, PCI host driver, DM6437 SoC analyzer, network developer kit with real-time TCP/IP stack, board-specific version of Code Composer Studio integrated development environment, a how-to demonstration of DaVinci technology, and sample A/V files.
