Feb. 3, 2010
Flash module for embedded motherboards comes with Slackware Linux.

Plug in this rugged flash module (see the figure), and Diamond System’s single-board computers (SBCs) or embedded ready systems (ERS) boot up with Linux ready to accept applications. The operating system (OS) includes all of the necessary drivers, including network drivers that automatically recognize the platform that the flash drive is plugged into.

The Slackware distribution is based on the 2.6.23 Linux kernel. The software development kit (SDK) also includes a CD with a Linux GNU development tool chain. The platform can be freely copied to other flash drives in production of the end product.
