Two surface-mount transformers have been engineered to optimize the ADSL and G.SHDSL capabilities of GlobespanVirata’s Titanium G24 and Octane chipsets. In conjunction with the S560-6600-HB transformer, the chipsets are capable of delivering asymmetric data rates of up to 8 Mbps and symmetric data rates of up to 4.6 Mpbs when coupled with the S560-6600-HG transformer. The transformers comply with UL1950 and EN60950 requirements and are suited for a wide range of small DSLAM equipment, as well as remote site DLC multi-port applications. Measuring 0.390" x 0.380" x 0.500", the devices are useful in high-density PC board applications. They boast of excellent total harmonic distortion performance, insertion loss, return loss, and crosstalk performance to further enhance the capabilities of the Titanium G24 convergence platform. Operating temperature range is –40°C to +85°C, and safety isolation is rated at 1,500 Vrms. Pricing for the S560-6600-HB (ADSL) transformer is $0.99 each/10K and the S560-6600-HG (G.SHDSL) transformer is $1.13 each/10K. BEL FUSE INC., Jersey City, NJ. (800) 235-3873.
