Available in the smaller 0405 two-element, 0508 two- and four-element, and 0612 four-element case sizes, the MultiGuard series of transient-voltage suppressors (TVSs) provide bi-directional ESD protection and EMI attenuation with a sub-nanosecond

Available in the smaller 0405 two-element, 0508 two- and four-element, and 0612 four-element case sizes, the MultiGuard series of transient-voltage suppressors (TVSs) provide bi-directional ESD protection and EMI attenuation with a sub-nanosecond response time. The components can be used on any circuit board containing multiple TVS chips of the same voltage and energy rating. Typical capacitance ranges from less than 225 pF to 825 pF and typical working voltages are 5.6V, 9V, 14V and 18V at energy ratings of 0.1-joule. The TVSs operate over a temperature range from -55ûC to +125ûC. A static-guard version is available with a capacitance of less than or equal to 75 pF, rated at less than or equal to 18V/0.05 joules. Prices range from $0.12 to $0.26 each/100,000. AVX CORP., Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 448-9411.
