Expanding the firm's family of ultra-wide input dc-to-dc power modules, the PKF 5617 SMT dc-to-dc converters are 7V, 6W output units that operate across a 4:1 range of input from 18V to 72V. The isolated 7V output is well-suited for many RF and communications applications. Accepting 24V, 48V or 60V inputs in a single module, the converters are low in cost and are compatible with pick-and-place assembly machines. They are said to represent a highly competitive solution for multiple markets such as common boards for telephone exchange and DECT base station applications. The converters also come in through-hole versions.
