The RF2642 combines both an upconverter and power amplifier driver within a single device and also includes a bypass mode designed for CDMA applications. The driver amplifier stage features high- and low-gain stages. In the low-gain state, the gain is adjustable, causing the device to draw less current. An on-board power-down mode turns off the driver amplifier while the upconverter is always on. Other features include balanced IF outputs, single-ended low input and RF output, a gain of 34.5 dB, and a noise figure of 12 dB and an ACPRI of 61 dBc.
