The company’s latest 3U VPX load board helps confirm that a chassis meets the VITA 46/48 power specifications for VPX and aids in locating hot spots within the enclosure. The board tests a system's cooling capabilities by first applying the load to the power supply for verification and creating the necessary heat to confirm chassis cooling. It employs a microcontroller-based stepped load control to 100W maximum and a rotary switch selects the voltage setting while pushing the on switch cycles between different power levels shown on an LED display. Other features of the board include a power reset button, a SYSRESET signal on the two test point outputs, Go-No-Go indicators for 3.3V, 5V, 12V, +12V Aux, -12V Aux, and 3.3V Aux, and an IEEE injector/ejector handle to provide a secure latching mechanism.
